Although it may not be as well known as Singapore or Macau, the Philippines’ capital of Manila is one of Asia’s best places to gamble, with a large selection of international casinos and poker halls.

Manila’s Entertainment City, a Las Vegas-style gambling hub, is home to two of the country’s largest casinos: City of Dreams and Solaire. Both are large integrated resorts with hotels and casino gambling located on reclaimed land in Manila Bay.
Resorts World Manila, which opened in 2009 near Ninoy Aquino International Airport, is another popular gambling spot in Manila. Below, we’ve provided more information on Manila’s numerous casinos and gaming clubs.
City of Dreams
Location: Asean Avenue corner Roxas Boulevard, Entertainment City.
- Open since February 2015, City of Dreams Manila is a huge integrated resort and casino on the new Entertainment City strip — Manila’s answer to the Las Vegas Strip or Cotai Strip in Macau.
- Opened in 2015 as a sister property of the City of Dreams casino in Macau.
- Three luxury hotels — the Nobu Hotel Manila, Crown Towers and Hyatt City of Dreams — offer a combined 940 rooms and suites.
- The Shops at The Boulevard has a large selection of luxury brand name shops.
- Located in Entertainment City, Manila’s gaming strip, a short distance from Solaire Resort and Casino.
- Eight restaurants and cafés, ranging from family restaurants to world class high-end dining.
- City of Dreams contains a 1,700 square metre gaming space with 365 table games and more than 1,600 slot machines. There’s also a private gaming space, the Signature Club, aimed at high rollers and VIPs.
- Inside the casino, you’ll find the usual table games such as baccarat, sic bo, pontoon, Texas hold ‘em poker, roulette, blackjack, craps and more. City of Dreams also houses Poker Stars Live Manila, which is located on the second floor of the casino.
Nobu Hotel Manila
- The Nobu Hotel Manila is one of three hotels in City of Dreams. The Japanese-inspired hotel is a luxurious, comfortable place to stay, with a large variety of rooms and suites, swimming pool, fitness centre, and dining options such as the famous Nobu chain of Japanese restaurants.
Crown Towers Manila
- Crown Towers Manila is a luxurious five-star (although marketed as six-star) hotel that’s aimed at high rollers and well heeled guests. Rooms are plush and spacious, with services such as a personal butler and luxurious facilities to help guests relax and unwind.
Hyatt City of Dreams
- The Hyatt City of Dreams is another five-star accommodation option inside the City of Dreams complex. Clean, spacious rooms, modern facilities and free shuttle services to nearby shopping malls make the Hyatt a convenient place to stay for casino guests and other visitors to Manila.

Resorts World Manila
Location: Newport Boulevard. Opposite Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3. Resorts World Manila offers a free shuttle from Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 every 30 minutes, 24/7.
- Open since 2009, Resorts World Manila was Manila’s first integrated casino resort. It’s located directly opposite Ninoy Aquino International Airport, making it the easiest casino in Manila to access if you’re flying in specifically for a gaming trip.
- Three hotels provide more than 1,500 rooms and luxurious facilities for guests.
- Popular table games such as blackjack, roulette and baccarat with reasonable minimum bets, as well as Texas hold ‘em poker.
- Newport Mall, a four-level shopping mall, offers brand name and high street fashion shopping.
- Nine restaurants, ranging from high-end dining to quick snacks, and three bars are available for guests and casino visitors.
- With 30,000 square metres of gaming space, Resorts World Manila is by far Manila’s largest casino. Resorts World Manila includes three hotels — the Remington Hotel, Maxims Hotel and Marriott Hotel Manila — offering more than 1,500 rooms and suites for guests.
- Inside the Resorts World Manila Casino, you’ll find 1,500 slot machines and electronic games, as well as 300 table games. Blackjack, roulette, baccarat and other popular table games are all easy to find, with reasonable minimum bets and a large variety of tables.
Remington Hotel
One of three hotels in Resorts World Manila, the Remington Hotel is an affordable three-star hotel aimed at business travellers and budget tourists. Rooms are simple but comfortable and offer convenient access to the casino, although amenities are somewhat limited.
The Marriott Hotel Manila is a five-star hotel in Resorts World Manila. With rooms overlooking the Villamor Golf Club, a large outdoor pool, a spa and fitness centre and a selection of great restaurants, the Marriott Hotel Manila is a relaxing and luxurious place to stay.
Maxims Hotel is a glitzy, albeit somewhat dated, five-star hotel in Resorts World Manila. Rooms are spacious and decorated with Las Vegas-style ornate furniture. The hotel’s outdoor pool has several relaxing cabanas that are available for guests.
Smaller Casinos and Poker Rooms
In addition to the large casinos, Manila is home to several smaller casinos and popular gaming clubs.
- Casino Filipino Pavilion
While Manila’s large international casinos are mostly aimed at foreign tourists, Casino Filipino Pavilion — a 3,000 square metre casino in Ermita — is where the locals go to gamble. With 105 table games and 700 machines, it’s smaller than the mega-casinos but still a fun destination. - Masters Poker Club
Masters Poker Club is one of several poker clubs in Manila offering daily cash games. The club, which is located near the Solaire Casino close to Manila Bay, has 11 tables aimed at beginners and experts alike and opens from 6pm nightly.

- Resorts World Bayshore
Resorts World Bayshore is a casino and hotel development currently under construction in the Entertainment City area of Manila. The complex is being developed by Genting Hong Kong and Alliance Global and is expected to open in 2018. - Manila Bay Resorts
Manila Bay Resorts is another casino resort currently under development by Japanese pachinko gaming company Universal Entertainment. The development was planned for 2015 but will now open its doors to guests in December 2016.
